Let’s keep that London feeling going…

It’s a new day….it’s a new dawn… and I’m feeling good!! What is the opposite of the January blues? I’m not sure if there is a term, but I’m feeling it.

January has got off to a fabulous start. What do I mean? New clients, extremely professional individuals, great collaborations planned. Individuals/organisations who so understand the value of the photographer/videographer to their business, which naturally will bring positive outcomes. Everyone in question has the same vision and are capable and willing to make it happen together.

It really is a new day…. a new dawn…. and I’m feeling good!!!

Some of the unnecessary drama, lies and borderline madness of 2018 has since been confined to the bin of yesteryear. Now a brighter, more professional and superior-level of work and calibre of working relations ahead.

.

Some people are all about the drama and nothing else….

.

I didn’t realise how much I had missed the way of working in London until the latter end of 2018. Don’t you just love it when you work with someone, a client for instance, and they get you, they know what you are about and they work with you on that level.

I work with integrity. My client’s business is their business and not for me to elaborate to others. That has always been my stance. Hence the repeat business and strong working relationships. I am there to deliver the best I possibly can for them and to advise when requested. Simple. You’ve got to trust each other, client/photographer in order to make it work successfully. This should go without saying, but I’d discovered at the latter end of 2018, this needed to be said – you’ve got to show common decency and respect each other as well. Then the sky is the limit.

I have worked with private individuals to big multinational corporations, CEOs to well known celebrities and the one thing I have found with 99% of them is that they are not ignorant of the purpose of a photographer, they know the value of his or her work and importantly they understand the laws surrounding the usage of images created by the photographer and they are at least on the same professional level when working with them. However, there are a few you just have to educate, try to educate or simply just beyond education. Life is a lesson right?

Let’s continue this fruitful, extremely professional, competent, positive, cut above, superior-level, top-draw, breath of fresh air, no nonsense and productive way of working. 2019 we are ready for you, let’s keep that London feeling going…

Stay tuned to find out what I’m talking about. All I can say now is that it feels like being back in London and my old corporate world where people were savvy at their jobs, paid attention to detail and correctness; legal and professional to the core, no time for time-wasters and charlatans, no stupidity, no BSers, no crushing ignorance, no immoral working practices, no small-minds listening to gossip and importantly NO UNCOUTH behaviour. Just delivering….and delivering well.

Why the URL is called Horse to Water? Well as they say, you can take a horse to water, but you can’t make it drink – Education.

A more apt analogy for me is – enough of casting MY pearls before swine.
